Residency Application Process

South Pointe Hospital Graduate Medical Education Department utilizes the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and participates in the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Residency Match Program.

 

The fourth year medical student must contact their deans office to obtain application information.

 

Applications must be completed and all accompanied documents must be uploaded into the ERAS program. After all documentations are loaded, South Pointe Hospital GME staff will download all documents into an application file. Each program recruitment committee will review the completed applications and interviews will be offered to qualified candidates. Interviews will take place from August through January.

 

Necessary documents:

  • Application
  • Personal Statement
  • CV
  • Deans Letter
  • Three (3) recommendation letters
  • Medical school transcripts
  • Board scores (Part I and II)

 

All other applicants (OGME 2-6) need to apply on the AOA Opportunities web site.
