CCHS Perioperative Nursing Practicum

Perioperative Nursing affords nurses the opportunity to take full advantage of their experience, knowledge, education and drive. However, many operating rooms are unable to accept Registered Nurses without previous surgical experience. This situation presents a disheartening dilemma.

How Does a Nurse Acquire OR Experience?

The Cleveland Clinic Health System proudly presents its new Perioperative Nursing Practicum. The program offers RN's without operating room experience the opportunity to receive:

  • Comprehensive didactic preparation
  • Hands-on lab experience
  • An extensive clinical rotation
  • The knowledge, skills and confidence to begin working independently in the O.R.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive CEU's and a Certificate of Completion from the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
