7/28/10 - The Huron School of Nursing policy for obtaining transfer credit for nursing and non-nursing courses is under revision at this time
*************
An individual may request transfer into Huron School of Nursing from another program if school admission requirements are completed. Nursing courses from accredited colleges, universities or schools of nursing may transfer providing they are of comparable content and completed with a minimum grade of C (2.0). Applicants may be requested to provide the school with course syllabi and outlines for previously completed nursing courses.
The transferring student may also be asked
to submit documentation from faculty and
administration of the former school that addresses the applicant’s academic and clinical abilities. Science courses completed more than 10 years, and nursing courses completed more than 5 years before admission, may not transfer and may need to be repeated. Students may be required to take proficiency tests in identified subject areas to assist in evaluating knowledge from previous courses.
Transfer students are required to complete 17 semester hours of nursing courses at Huron School of Nursing to be eligible for graduation.
