Dear Vascular Surgery Fellowship Candidate;
I want to thank you for your interest in our Vascular Surgery program.
On the next few pages we will introduce you to our residency. Presently, we are a one-year program. We are in the process of redeveloping our curriculum to become a two-year program, likely to start in the 2010 academic year.
We are a member of the CORE (Center for Osteopathic Research and Education) affiliated with Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
We offer an extensive didactic program as well as a vast opportunity for surgical and clinical experiences. The residents work side by side with our vascular surgeons in the office, wound managment department, vascular lab and the surgical suite. Continuity of care is a very important aspect of our program, which gives our residents the opportunity to diagnose, treat, manage and follow-up on all the patients over their time here at South Pointe. Our residents are highly encouraged to do research, both presenting and publishing.
If you have any questions, please contact our Graduate Medical Education Department at 216.491.7460.
Sincerely;
Jeffrey A. Stanley, D.O.
